SYN-023

A culture of speaking up

The community builds a culture of openness where people raise issues, are taken seriously, and are believed; where every member has a place to be heard and feels comfortable contributing; and where intolerance of poor behaviour, willingness to report, asking for help, and open talk are normal — a culture worth carrying beyond the community. Space is made for honest conversations about one's own behaviour as well as others'.

Deliberately left open — OPIN-136 — "go where the culture is or try to change it" is an open strategic question from the sources.
