The community speaks one language

The guidelines depend on shared terms, so the community maintains a glossary (see GLOSSARY.md): STAR — Safety, Trust, Awareness and Response; WELL — Warnings, Exclusions, Limitations (and Listing), AfrikaBurn's policy dated 14 April 2025; and terms still awaiting definition, starting with ROAR. Guidelines-work terminology follows the glossary (including "respondent" for the person whose behaviour is in question).

Deliberately left open — GTC-022 — ROAR is undefined in the sources (glossary: to confirm with group); FLAME and Sentella likewise carry "to confirm" glossary entries.
